Testing Opportunities

To register, visit act.orgSchool Code: 260-120 Test Site Code: 208-250 College-bound juniors & seniors are encouraged to take the ACT Test at least once during junior year & once during senior year.
The ACT is in the following months: September, October, December, February, April, June and July at Ava High School. Please note testing at AHS in June and July depends on the number of testing. Many four-year colleges and universities, including most in Missouri, require an ACT score for admission. Some colleges and universities may prefer a SAT score instead. Please check specific college websites for admission requirements. When registering for the ACT test, make sure you are selecting the ACT (no writing) option. If you feel you need to take the ACT (with writing), please contact the counseling office. Fees:
ACT (no writing) $69.00 ACT with writing $94.00
Please pay attention to registration deadlines. Note: Late registration fee is $38.

Fee Waivers:
If you are receiving free or reduced lunches you may be eligible for a fee waiver which allows the ACT to be taken up to 4 times at no cost. Stop by the counselor's office to check eligibility. The completion of the Free and Reduced Meal Form, handed out at the beginning of the school year, determines your eligibility. Other fees may apply for change or date or testing. All juniors and interested senior students take the ASVAB in each fall
